In case involving civil suit brought by parent whose son was murdered in defendant's care at a residential program for juvenile delinquents, judgment and damage award for plan tiff are affirmed over claims that the district court erred when it: 1) improperly excluded testimony by a police witness regarding the motive behind the murder; 2) improperly admitted expert testimony that was not contained in the expert's pretrial report; and 3) improperly instructed the jury regarding the standard for contributory negligence.
