United States DC Circuit
US v. Gurr, 05-3122
Defendant's conviction of defrauding the U.S. when he was the manager of a federal credit union in American Samoa is affirmed over claims that the district court erred in: 1) denying motion to suppress documents discovered during a border search; 2) admitting, over hearsay objection, a report by an examiner from the National Credit Union Administration; 3) denying motion for judgment of acquittal of embezzlement and witness tampering; and 4) that it lacked subject matter jurisdiction and venue was improper.
