District court decision to reverse jury verdict for plaintiff Swiss corporation on its complaint, and to affirm verdict against defendant Belgian national on his counterclaim, is affirmed over claims that the district court erred in: 1) granting defendant judgment as a matter of law on plaintiff's claim for breach of promissory notes; 2) instructing the jury regarding defendant's counterclaims; and 3) denying defendant's motion for discovery sanctions under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 37.
