United States DC Circuit

Judicial Watch, Inc. v. Dep't of Justice, 04-5444

In an action under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a judgment compelling agency defendant to provide plaintiff with reasonably segregable portions of certain documents, relating to the US participation as amicus curiae in Boim v. Quaranic Literacy Institute, is reversed because the documents are work product, and thus, the entire contents of the documents are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA.
