United States DC Circuit

JAFFE v. PALLOTTA TEAMWORKS, 03-7121

In a wrongful death case, the Court reversed the district court's application of the law of the District of Columbia, and correctly applied Virginia law, because it had more substantial interests, and found that plaintiff's pre-participation waiver was void and against public policy under the state's law.
