NATIONAL HOME EQUITY MORTGAGE ASSOCIATION v. OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISION, 03-5204
In a case involving mortgage lenders, the Court affirmed summary judgment in favor of defendant, stating that the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) did not exceed its statutory authority in promulgating its rule that exempts nonfederally chartered housing creditors that engage in alternative mortgage transactions from certain OTS regulation.
