United States DC Circuit
US v. GIBSON, 02-3023
The imposition of a sentence over seven years after being found guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute did not violate defendant's Sixth Amendment right to speedy sentencing. Far from being prejudiced by this delay, defendant actively contributed to it and never requested prompt sentencing.
