ALLIED PILOTS ASS'N v. PENSION BENEFIT GUARANTY CORP., 02-5144

Federal law authorized the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (created under ERISA) to enter into settlement agreements, thus termination of an airline employee pension plan, in line with such an agreement, was permissible.
