AMERICAN FED'N OF GOV'T EMPLOYEES v. VENEMAN, 01-5035

The USDA's current modified inspection model does not violate the Federal Meat Inspection Act or the Poultry Products Inspection Act because the program calls for federal inspectors in participating plants to personally examine each carcass leaving the slaughter line.
