United States DC Circuit

US v. SMITH, 00-3026

Lacking a specific Fed. R. Evid. 608(b) objection at trial, defendant failed to show plain error because there was arguably minimal damage wrought by the government's cooperating witness, and defendant's attorney already excluded the most damaging "bolstering" testimony.
