The Koala v. Khosla, 17-55380

Reversed in part, vacated in part. The district court dismissed Plaintiff, a student organization at the University of California, San Diego. Plaintiff had alleged the student government’s passage of the Media Act violated Plaintiff’s First Amendment Rights. Held that the sovereign immunity doctrine did not bar Plaintiff’s claims and there was enough to survive a motion to dismiss.
