United States Ninth Circuit

C.J.L.G. v. Barr, 16-73801

In an en banc decision, held that an immigration judge erroneously failed to advise a juvenile about his apparent eligibility for Special Immigrant Juvenile status. Granted a petition for review from a removal order. Did not reach the separate issue of whether minors in removal proceedings have a right to counsel, although concurring opinions addressed it.
