Vazquez v. Jan-Pro Franchising International Inc., 17-16096
Revived janitors' claims that they were misclassified as independent contractors when they were actually employees. Held that the California Supreme Court's decision in Dynamex Ops. W. Inc. v. Superior Court, 416 P.3d 1 (Cal. 2018) applied retroactively. Vacated a summary judgment ruling and remanded.
