United States Ninth Circuit

Chemehuevi Indian Tribe v. Newsom, 17-55604

Held that the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act permits tribes and states to negotiate the duration of a compact governing the conduct of a tribe's gaming activities. Thus, the termination provision in question was not void. Affirmed a summary judgment ruling in favor of the State of California.
