United States Ninth Circuit
Knox v. Brnovich, 18-16613
Upheld the constitutionality of Arizona's 2016 election law making it a felony for certain persons to collect voters' early mail ballots. The plaintiff, a Democratic precinct committeeperson, argued that the law violated the First Amendment and was unconstitutionally vague. Rejecting these and other contentions, the Ninth Circuit affirmed a bench trial ruling finding no merit in the plaintiff's claims.
