Alliance for the Wild Rockies v. US Forest Service, 16-35829
Held that environmental groups could proceed with certain claims against the U.S. Forest Service relating to the management of Idaho's Payette National Forest. Environmental groups brought this suit alleging that the Forest Service had made decisions related to one section of the national forest that would increase commercial logging and decrease protected habitat areas, in violation of federal environmental laws. On appeal of an entry of summary judgment for the Forest Service, the Ninth Circuit affirmed in part and reversed in part.
