United States Ninth Circuit

In this criminal action, the 9th Circuit, Court of Appeals affirmed the district courts judgement. Defendant was convicted of lying to a grand jury in violation of 18 USC section 1623. Defendant argued that language in verdict form erroneously required the jury to find her not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The 9th Circuit, Court of Appeals agreed with defendant, but found the erroneous verdict form harmless error.
