United States Ninth Circuit
Hodson v. Mars, Inc., 16-15444
Affirming a district court dismissal of a plaintiff's consumer protection claims in a putative class action suit alleging that Mars, Inc, maker of chocolate bars, had a duty to disclose on its labels the labor practices that may have tainted the supply chain because California consumer protection laws don't require Mars to disclose possible child or slave labor and the plaintiff's Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition Law, and False Advertising Law claims were foreclosed.
