United States Ninth Circuit
US v. Misraje, 15-50543
Affirming the district court's judgment revoking the supervised release after committing two violations relating to the possession and use of computers and computer devices other than those disclosed to the supervising officer when the man, convicted of child pornography offenses, used a friend's smartphone, holding that the probation office didn't unreasonably delay the revocation petition where the defendant caused the delay by obstructing the probation office's investigation, rejecting the contention that the defendant's confession was taken in violation of the Fifth Amendment, which doesn't apply to questioning of a supervisee about their compliance with supervision.
