United States Ninth Circuit
Quinault Indian Nation v. Pearson, 15-35263
Affirming the dismissal by the district court of a lawsuit in which the estate of the defendant sought to preserve litigation in order to pursue counterclaims against the Quinault Indian Nation, which had sued them for a scheme intended to defraud them of taxes, the court agreed that the Nation was entitled to sovereign immunity and the claims were properly dismissed.
