US v. Lara, 14-50120

Conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, in violation of 18 U.S.C. section 922(g)(1), is reversed where the police's initial warrantless search of defendant’s cell phone data, in accordance with a warrantless search provision of his probation agreement, was unreasonable and violated his Fourth Amendment rights.
