United States Ninth Circuit

US v. Dreyer, 13-30077

Conviction for distribution of child pornography is affirmed where: 1) a special agent of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)'s involvement in identifying the civilian defendant as a distributor of child pornography violated the Posse Comitatus Act, 18 U.S.C. section 1385; but 2) suppression in this case is unnecessary to deter future violations.
