Defend Our Waterfront v. California State Lands Commission, A141696
In a dispute arising out of the controversial "8 Washington Street Project," a plan to develop waterfront land near the San Francisco Ferry Building, challenging the defendant's reliance on a CEQA exemption which applies to "settlements of title and boundary problems by the State Lands Commission and to exchanges or leases in connection with those settlements," Pub. Resources Code section 21080.11, the trial court's grant of petition for writ of mandate is affirmed where the land exchange agreement was not exempt from CEQA review.
