United States Ninth Circuit
Minden Pictures, Inc. v. John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 14-15267
In an infringement suit brought by plaintiff, a licensing agent for photographers, based on alleged violations of the terms of its licenses with a textbook publisher-defendant, the district court's judgment is affirmed where plaintiff had standing under the Copyright Act to bring suit, because the agency agreements between plaintiff and individual photographers conveyed an ownership interest in the photographer's copyright sufficient to permit plaintiff to sue.
