Rancheria v. Salazar, 12-15817
Judgment of the district court upholding the Secretary of the Interior's denial of the application of plaintiff Indian tribe to construct and operate a new gambling casino on its restored lands is: 1) affirmed in part, where plaintiff already operated a modest-sized casino on land that it had acquired earlier; and 2) reversed in part and remanded, where the agency did not meaningfully address plaintiff's willingness to close down its original casino once the new one was in operation.
