United States Ninth Circuit

US v. Shouse, 13-30134

Defendant's sentence, imposed following defendant's guilty plea to one count of production of child pornography and one count of penalties for registered sex offenders, is affirmed, where: 1) the district court did not abuse its discretion in applying an enhancement for sexual exploitation of a minor by production of sexually explicit visual or printed material that portrayed sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence; 2) the district court did not abuse its discretion by ordering the sentence to run consecutively to the defendant's undischarged state sentence; and 3) the sentence was reasonable.
