Gonzalez v. City of Anaheim, 11-56360

In an action brought by the successors of a man who was shot and killed during an encounter with defendant-police officers, summary judgment for defendants is: 1) reversed in part and remanded, on the plaintiffs' claim for deadly excessive force where a significant inconsistency in the officers' testimony was sufficient to present a genuine dispute of material fact; but 2) affirmed in part, as to the as to the Fourteenth Amendment deprivation of familial relationship claim and the non-deadly force portion of the Fourth Amendment claim.
