United States Ninth Circuit
Oliner v. Kontrabecki, 12-15107
The district court's order denying the parties' joint request to seal the record of the bankruptcy proceedings is affirmed, where: 1) the district court properly invoked the "compelling reasons" standard in considering the request; 2) the district court did not err in concluding that no compelling reasons overcame the strong presumption in favor of maintaining public access to court records; and thus, 3) the district court did not abuse its discretion in deciding not to seal the judicial record.
