US v. Yazzie, 12-10165

Defendants' convictions for aggravated sexual abuse of a minor are affirmed, where: 1) the district court did not violate defendants' Sixth Amendment rights to a public trial when it closed the courtroom while the child victims were testifying; 2) the closure of the trial did not violate the requirements of 18 U.S.C. section 3509(e), which permits a closed courtroom during the testimony of a child witness; and 3) defendant Yazzie's multiple convictions under 18 U.S.C. section 2241(c) for discrete sexual acts that occurred during one sexual encounter with the victim do not violate the Double Jeopardy Clause.
