United States Ninth Circuit
Strong v. Valdez Fine Foods, 11-55265
Summary judgment for defendants in an action alleging unlawful discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act and related California disability laws is reversed and remanded, where the district court: 1) abused its discretion in discounting plaintiff's evidence as lacking personal knowledge and constituting improper expert testimony; and 2) erred in requiring plaintiff to show that removal of any barriers was "readily achievable."
