United States Ninth Circuit
Thompson v. Runnels, 08-16186
District court's denial of defendant's petition for habeas corpus challenging denial of his motion to suppress his multiple confessions to the murder of his girlfriend, is affirmed, where the Court of Appeal reasonably applied the relevant "clearly established Federal law," in effect as of the time of the final state court adjudication on the merits, in holding that defendant's post-Miranda confessions were admissible.
