In appeal of conviction and sentencing for felony and misdemeanor assault, judgment of conviction and sentence is affirmed, where: 1) the government’s substantial interference with the testimony of its own witnesses can violate the Due Process Clause; but 2) defendant's due process claim fails because he cannot meet his evidentiary burden regarding causation where there is no proof that statements allegedly made by the prosecution threatening perjury charges were ever heard by the witness; and 3) the district court did not commit any procedural errors at sentencing when it explained its reasons for the imposed sentence.
