United States Ninth Circuit

US v. Turner, 11-10038

District court's denial of defendant's motion to terminate his term of supervised release, on the ground that the term had run during his civil detention under Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act section 4248, is reversed as the detention pending the outcome of a civil commitment hearing pursuant to section 4248 does not constitute "imprisonment," and defendant's term of supervised release was not tolled during his civil detention.
