United States Ninth Circuit

US v. Pineda-Moreno, 08-30385

On remand from the United States Supreme Court in light of its decision in U.S. v. Jones, district court's denial of defendant's motion to suppress evidence derived from using a mobile tracking devices placed under his vehicle is affirmed, as the agents objectively relied on then-existing binding precedent when they approached defendant's vehicle in public areas, attached tracking devices to it, and used those devices to monitor the vehicle's movements.
