United States Ninth Circuit

Angle v. Miller, 10-16707

In a challenge to a Nevada statute that requires proponents of a ballot initiative to obtain the signatures of a number of registered voters equal to 10 percent of the votes cast in the previous general election in each of the state's congressional districts, the district court's grant of summary judgment to the defendant is affirmed, where the plaintiffs did not demonstrate the existence of a genuine issue on their claims that the statute violated either the Equal Protection Clause or First Amendment "core political speech" rights.
