In an appeal from a judgment of the district court convicting defendant of importing marijuana, 21 U.S.C. sections 952 and 960, and of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, 21 U.S.C. section 841(a)(1), conviction and sentencing are vacated where it was a fatal abuse of the district court's discretion to allow the government to introduce evidence of defendant's prior "law enforcement contacts."
