Rickley v. County of Los Angeles, 09-56498

In a Section 1983 action against defendant and individual County employees alleging violations of plaintiff's constitutional rights to free speech and equal protection in the form of retaliation, judgment of the district court is affirmed in part and reversed in part where pursuant to 42 U.S.C. section 1988, a successful civil rights plaintiff may recover a reasonable attorney’s fee for legal services performed by her attorney-spouse.
