United States Ninth Circuit
Howard v. Criminal Information Services, Inc., 10-35751
In a consolidate dispute involving the scope of the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), 18 U.S.C. sections 2721-2725, judgments of the district courts dismissing actions are affirmed because defendants' bulk purchasing of drivers’ personal information for future does not violate the DPPA where the ultimate use of the information conforms to the DPPA.
