United States Ninth Circuit

US v. Maness, 06-30607

Defendant's firearm possession sentence is affirmed, where: 1) the District Court erred by denying Defendant the opportunity to represent himself, but that error did not prejudice Defendant; and 2) the Sentencing Guidelines borrowed 18 U.S.C. section 922's definition of a firearm, but not the statute's effective date.
