United States Ninth Circuit
Mundi v. Union Sec. Life Ins. Co., 07-16171
In a suit over the denial of a life insurance claim for a policy taken out to cover a loan, denial of defendant-insurer's motion to compel arbitration is affirmed where the insurance policy did not contain an arbitration agreement, and the plaintiff's claim in the lawsuit was not sufficiently related to the loan to allow defendant, a non-signatory, to invoke the loan agreement's arbitration clause.
