United States Ninth Circuit

Defendants' convictions and sentences for conspiracy, sex trafficking, foreign transportation for prostitution, and transportation of persons in execution of fraud, arising from their operation of a brothel in Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands are affirmed where: 1) the federal government had authority to prosecute defendant; 2) there was sufficient evidence to convict her; 3) the district court's evidentiary rulings against defendants did not constitute reversible error; 4) there was no prosecutorial misconduct; 5) the district court properly instructed the jury; and 6) the district court properly sentenced defendant.
