US v. Abd Hir, 07-10500

In a prosecution for conspiring to provide and providing material support to terrorists, contributing goods and services to a specially designated global terrorist, and making a material false statement, a pretrial detention order denying bail is affirmed where there was clear and convincing evidence that defendant poses a grave danger to the Philippines, if not to other communities in Southeast Asia, and that "no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure...the safety of...the community."
