Fields v. Brown, 00-99005
Grant of a petition for writ of habeas corpus regarding sentencing is reversed where juror misconduct, assuming any occurred during the penalty phase, had no substantial or injurious effect on the sentence. Denial of a writ of habeas corpus for the underlying conviction is affirmed where defendant was not deprived of an impartial jury.
