United States Ninth Circuit
US v. Riedl, 06-10424
In proceedings arising after defendant had served her 66-month sentence for offenses including money laundering, denial of her petition for a writ of error coram nobis is affirmed as: 1) defendant failed to provide any valid reasons for waiting so long to challenge her convictions on the grounds raised, and thus plainly did not satisfy the requirements for the highly unusual remedy of coram nobis relief; and 2) her attempt to invoke the equitable doctrine of laches is rejected.
