United States Ninth Circuit

Dennis v. BEH-1, LLC, 04-56230

In a suit brought against Experian alleging violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), summary judgment for defendant is affirmed where: 1) the credit reporting agency was not liable under FCRA, when it relied on inaccurate information contained in public records; and 2) for purposes of a 15 U.S.C. section 1681i claim, Experian correctly reported that judgment had been entered against plaintiff, even though that judgment had been entered erroneously, and its investigation was sufficiently rigorous.
