A Chinese citizen's conviction for intentionally making a materially false statement to a federal agent is reversed where, in light of the extrinsic evidence and the context in which defendant's statements were made, there was insufficient basis upon which to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that he intentionally made a materially false statement.
