United States Ninth Circuit

Sass v. California Bd. of Prison Terms, 05-16455

California inmates continue to have a liberty interest in parole after In re Dannenberg, 34 Cal. 4th 1061 (2005). However, denial of a petition for a writ of habeas corpus is affirmed where state court decisions upholding petitioner's parole denials were not contrary to, and did not involve an unreasonable application of, clearly established federal law as determined by the Supreme Court.
