United States Ninth Circuit

Weaver v. Palmateer, 04-36009, 04-36020

A grant of a writ of habeas corpus in connection with rape and sodomy convictions is reversed where a state court's application of the Supreme Court's ineffective-assistance standards was, at the very least, not objectively unreasonable, and thus, petitioner failed to establish that he was entitled to habeas relief.
