US v. BLAINE COUNTY, 02-35691
Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits any voting procedure that results in a denial of the right to vote, is a constitutional exercise of Congress's Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendment enforcement powers. Defendant's at-large voting system for electing members to its County Commission was properly found to violate section 2.
