United States Ninth Circuit

BARAPIND v. ENOMOTO, 02-16944

Alien's extradition, requested by his native India in order to try him for crimes of murder, attempted murder, and robbery, is affirmed. The indiscriminate killings of civilians and police officers cannot qualify for the political offense exception to extradition, even if "politically motivated."
